The SL Botanical Gardens came into being in February of 2005 with a purchase of 7423 sqm in the “core” terraformable sim Federal. Over the course of the next year and half, the Gardens eventually covered 1/4 of Federal. Profits from two SL businesses purchased a private island sim for the Gardens in November of 2006. Construction on the new sim took..well…a while. The SL Botanical Gardens finally opened to the public in March of 2007, it is expected to actually be FINISHED by June of 2007.
